A belated report:

5/26/2018  Grace Farms,  New Canaan - while leading a birdwalk, We saw a Monarch butterfly, which flew by close to us in the meadow. I thought this was very early, so  I studied it binocs as it flew by to see if it might be a Viceroy, but it lacked the cross bar on the hind wing, plus it was too large.

6/14. Long Beach West, Stratford - 1 Monarch, 1 RedAdmiral ( very fresh and bright; my first of year), Orange Sulphur, 2 Cabbage Whites.
