Hey everyone,

Been a while since I had any butterflies to report (I couldn't do many day
trips last year). I may start reporting some noteworthy moths since this
is a lep group.

I went out to Mohawk Mtn and the Black Spruce bog area looking for Infants
or Epimenis but didn't find any. I did find four Spring Azures (Celastrina
lucia) of the marginata form.

MV lighting was excellent with a burst of heavy rain for about an hour and
a half that didn't slow them down until 2. Temps were mid 60's dropping to
the mid 50's. Bait was useless. The later spring crowd is out in force.

Psaphida - lots of rolandi and resumens, with a couple electilis which is
much rarer
Copivaleria grotei - a strong flight but sad as all the ash trees are
dying and we may never see a flight like this again.
Orthosia - hibisci, rubescens and revicta all flying
Cerastis - tenebrifera and 1 salicarum
Gluphisia lintneri - 1 (the earliest and rarest)
Morrisonia evicta and 1 M. confusa
Feralia jocosa and F. major
Egira dolosa - 1 (don't see this much)
Zale phaeocapna - at least a dozen and odd to see this before minerea/lunata
Crocigrapha normani - many
Himella fidelis and Colocasia flavicornis
Phigalia still hanging around - mostly P. titea
Eupithecia - tis the season with 3-4 species
Eutrapela clementaria, 2 Cladara, and Ectropis
