The last meeting of the Developer's Forum was held on October 29th.

Attending:
Stephen Yearl, Jennifer Weintraub, Kevin Glick, Jeff Barnett, Rick Boursy,
Martha Smalley, Scott Matheson, George Ouellette, Julie Linden, Roy
Lechich, Brian Kupiec, Karen Reardon

Martha Smalley from Divinity gave a very informative presentation on the
data input tool used for the Getty funded 'Internet Mission Photography
Project'. This presentation raised interesting dicusssions about the
implmentation and use of such a tool at the Library.

George Ouellette then gave a demonstration of Personal Insight - Luna's
new self-service tool to create digital collections for display in
Insight.

If there are any updates on attendees or the presentations, please send
them on to me.

The next meeting is scheduled for Friday November 19th - agenda still
being determined.

For December, the Developer's Forum will have a joint meeting with the
University Digital Landscape group - there will be two presentations:

John Ffrench, Manager of Digital Imaging at the Yale Art Gallery will
give a presentation their new digital workflow process and color
correction methods and findings.

Brian Kupiec and I will give an introduction to JPEG2000 and
discuss issues related to its implementation and possible uses at the
Library.

The meeting will also be open to interested Library staff as there may
be others interested in these topics.

The December meeting will be Monday December 13th at 10:00 in the SML
Lecture Hall.

A few folks mentioned they might be able to present in late fall / early
spring - if you are interested in presenting to the group in January (or
later) - please send me the month and topic. Thanks!

Other questions, issues, concerns, ideas... send them on...
