[Devforum] Meeting Summary, Next Meeting reminder

The Developer's Forum met on November 19th. 

Attending: Steve Yearl, Kevin Glick, Jen Weintraub, Scott Matheson, Fred 
Martz, Julie Linden, George Ouellette, Brian Kupiec, Roy Lechich, Karen 
Reardon

Roy and Brian demonstrated programming tools and 
methodologies they are using to great the 'injest' applications for the
Rescue Repository.  Brian gave a demo of the application he has developed 
for use at the Beinecke using Delphi. Roy provided an overview of the 
jhove object validation environment that he will incorporate into the 
application he will be developing.

Their presentations led to interesting comments and dicussions on the 
retention of the reports and output of these applications and 
provided excellent feedback as they move forward with this development.

The next meeting of the Developers' Forum will be Monday December 13th at 
10:00 in the SML Lecture Hall. This will be a combined Developers' Forum 
and University Digital Landscape Group meeting and will be open to all 
interested staff. Two presentations will be given - John Ffrench from the 
Art Gallery on their color scanning guidelines and Brian Kupiec and I on 
jpeg2000.
