Welcome to the study abroad list-serv!
Upcoming issues of the Study Abroad E-News will include information about
events, deadlines, "alternative" study abroad sites (there is life outside
Oxbridge, Spain and France!), visa updates, and other study abroad
issues. Stay tuned!

Scheduling Appointments
To schedule a 30-minute appointment to talk with someone about study
abroad, please call 432-8684. If you just have a quick question, you can
sign up for a 15 minute slot during walk-ins on Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays. The times for these walk-in hours can be found on the Contact
page of the IEFP web page
http://www.yale.edu/iefp/contact/staff_year.html?mm=8.

Mark Your Calendars...
Welcome Back Reception for Returning Study Abroad Students

Please RSVP to Pam Warner (pamela.warner at yale.edu) if you will attend the
welcome back reception.

Study Abroad Information Meeting for Freshmen and Sophomores
Tuesday, September 13 @ 4pm
Location TBD

Additional information on these, and other, events, can be found on the
study abroad calendar http://www.yale.edu/iefp/studyabroad/fall05.html?mm=5

Junior Spring Term Abroad Deadlines
For the spring JTA deadlines, please go to
http://www.yale.edu/iefp/studyabroad/faq.html#what_are_deadlines. Please
note that program/foreign university application deadlines differ from
Yale's internal deadline, so check the program web sites to make certain
you don't miss those deadlines. IEFP advice is to always apply well ahead
of deadlines as sometimes programs fill early.

Talk to Yalies Who Studied Abroad Last Year
Thinking about study abroad, but want to talk to Yalies who have done
it? Then check out the list of peers by region and by major - links to the
list are located on the front page of the study abroad web site
http://www.yale.edu/iefp/studyabroad.
These returned Junior Year and Term Abroad students have all agreed to talk
to their fellow students about their experiences abroad.

Reminder to those visiting IEFP at 55 Whitney Avenue
You will need your Yale ID to get up to the IEFP offices at 55 Whitney
Avenue (across from Subway and Dunkin' Donuts). Just swipe your card in
the reader by the building's reception desk, and proceed to the bank of
elevators for your trip to the third floor.
