Don't forget....
John Thouron Prize for Summer Study at Pembroke College, Cambridge University
Application Deadline: Noon, Tomorrow! ( Friday,December1)
Attention Freshmen!
Did you catch yesterday's YDN article on sophomore study abroad? If
not, check it out online at
http://www.yaledailynews.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=34486, then call
432-8684 to schedule an appointment to speak with a study abroad
advisor about your options!
Will study abroad hurt my chances of being elected to Phi Beta Kappa?
No! If you take courses abroad in an approved program which is
counted as a full term, but where grades do not count for PBK because
the program is not Yale affiliated, you are not at a statistical
disadvantage for election to PBK. Why not? Because what ultimately
will count will be the percentage of A grades of those courses you
have taken at Yale. Of course, if you stay here you do have the
change to earn more As, but then you also have to earn more of them
because you will be taking more courses! It is the percentage of A
grades of all courses taken that counts.
