Meetings Next Week ...

Thinking of studying abroad at Oxford?
Then don't miss the IFSA Butler/Oxford University Info Meeting at
noon next Thursday. Dr. Elisabeth Dutton, Research Fellow and
Director of Visiting Students at Worcester College, and Carolyn
Watson, NE Region Field Director for IFSA Butler, will be on campus
to answer your questions about studying at Oxford. This is your
chance to ask about the tutorial system of learning, the city of
Oxford, the subjects that can be studied, and the application
process. We've also asked Yale seniors who studied at Oxford to come
to the meeting to talk about Oxford from the student
perspective. Students wishing to apply for the full 2007-08 academic
year at Oxford or the two spring terms 2008 will have to apply for
admission in December/January, so don't miss this opportunity to get
the information you need to get the application process
rolling! (Note -- Carolyn Watson can also answer questions about any
of the other Butler programs abroad. IFSA Butler has programs in the
UK, Ireland, Latin America, Spain, Australia and New Zealand)
When: Thursday, November 2 @ 12noon
Where: 55 Whitney Ave., Room 305 (bring your student ID)

Summer in Spain?
The 15 Yale students who studied with the Summer Institute for
Hispanic Studies the last summer have invited the program director,
Santiago Tejerina-Canal, to Yale's campus for a program reunion next
weekend. In conjunction with this reunion, the director (and the
Yale alumni) will be holding an information meeting about the SIHS
program, as well as the academic semester/year program in Madrid
through Hamilton College. Information about SIHS can be found at
http://www.hamilton.edu/academics/programs_abroad/sihs/index.html;
for Hamilton College in Madrid (academic semester/year program),

When: Friday, November 3 @ 2pm
Where: 55 Whitney Ave., Room 305
