Going to Africa this summer?
Wondering what to bring or how to prepare?
Get your questions answered at the Africa Regional Pre-departure Orientation!
You are invited to attend this special meeting on
Thursday, April 19, 2007
4:30pm-6pm
55 Whitney Ave, 3rd floor, Room 369

Activities will include:
    * Health advice and special clinic hours provided by the Yale
Travel Clinic*
    * A panel discussion with students who studied and conducted
research in Africa last summer, international students, and faculty
members who specialize in African studies
    * A chance to meet other Yalies who will be in Africa this summer
    * A reception with food and drinks following the orientation
*Have you had your vaccinations yet? In addition to their general
health presentation, the Travel Clinic has arranged separate clinic
hours for those Yalies who will be attending this orientation. These
hours are optional and will most likely be held the week of
4/23. You can take advantage of these hours by filling out the
Travel Clinic's form at
http://www.yale.edu/yhp/med_services/pdf/Travel_Clinic_Form.pdf and
submitting it by fax to (203) 432-0095 or in person at the Travel
Clinic at University Health Services by Monday, April 16th. Please
make sure to write "Africa Regional Orientation" at the top of the
form. Students who opt to use these clinic hours will set up a time
for their consultation during the pre-departure orientation. This
private consultation will cost $50 plus the cost of vaccinations.

If you plan on attending this exciting event, you must RSVP by April
18, 2007 at www.yale.edu/iefp/rsvp/africa/.
Any Yalie who will be traveling to Africa this summer is invited, so
