International Association of Research Universities: The Global Summer Program
IARU Global Summer Program is an exciting
learning experience for undergraduate students at
<http://www.iaruni.org/about/iaru_members>ten of
the world’s leading research-intensive
universities (including Yale!). The IARU Global
Summer Program provides intensive, residential
<http://www.iaruni.org/gsp/courses>summer courses
to students from IARU member institutions. Each
host university – in this first year Australian
National University, Cambridge, Copenhagen,
National University of Singapore, University of
Oxford, University of Tokyo, and Yale University–
offers a range of courses, including content
unique to the program. By participating in the
IARU Global Summer Program, students will be
joining a new community of global citizens, and of future global leaders.

There are a lot of interesting courses around the
world for summer 2008 -- including some in the
sciences and environmental studies. For
information on this program, please go to the
Yale Summer Session web site at
http://www.yale.edu/summer/gsp/opportunities.html.
This program's international courses are eligible
for International Summer Award funding.

Note to students who plan on studying abroad in fall 2008 ...
Don't wait until the last minute to submit your
Yale Year or Term Abroad application! If you are
planning on studying abroad for fall semester
2008, or academic year 2008-09, please note that
we are now accepting and reviewing applications
(application forms are available at
http://www.yale.edu/iefp/studyabroad/forms.html).
Most students who turn in completed, routine
applications (routine = approved Programs + meet
all requirements as listed in YCPS and the study
abroad web site) will have an answer from the
Year or Term Abroad Committee within a week. Do
not wait until you have received an acceptance
from your chosen study abroad program before
applying to Yale -- your Yale application must be
submitted to IEFP by our deadline (April 1).

Walk-ins Cancelled on March 4 for the PKU-Yale University Joint Program.
Amy Weber will not be holding her regularly
scheduled Tuesday walk-ins next week. If you
have questions about the program that you wish to
have answered before Spring Break, please call
the office to schedule an appointment (432-8685),
or email her at amy.weber at yale.edu.
