New for Summer 2009: Summer Abroad
Students who wish to receive Yale College credit and/or ISA funding for summer study abroad on programs run by outside organizations/universities will now have an application process similar to that in existence for study abroad during the academic year. If you wish to receive credit and/or ISA funding you will now apply for approval prior to studying abroad. There is an approved list of programs, and the courses will be signed off on prior to study abroad by the DUS of the relevant department. To begin searching for approved summer programs, please go to the Opportunities page of the Center for International Experience web site (http://www.yale.edu/yalecollege/international/opportunities/index.html) and click on "Search for International Opportunities." Once you find the right program, you will click on the "Start Applying" button on the program's info page. Please remember that this online process is only for the internal Yale application process - you will still need to apply directly to your program/university of choice for admission.
Summer Abroad application deadline: noon, Friday, April 17
Please note that the Summer Abroad program is not for students wishing to attend a Yale Summer Session program abroad, or one of the Yale-in-London summer session. To apply for these programs, please see their listings on the CIE Opportunities page.
Online Application Process for Year/Term Abroad
Is Now Up & Running!
The application process for the Year or Term Abroad Program is now online! No more hiking up to 55 Whitney to turn in your application materials - now you will complete your application online through the CIE web site. To start the process, search for a program go to the Opportunities page of the Center for International Experience web site (http://www.yale.edu/yalecollege/international/opportunities/index.html) and click on "Search for International Opportunities." Once you find the right program, you will click on the "Start Applying" button on the program's info page. Please remember that this online process is only for the internal Yale application process - you will still need to apply directly to your program/university of choice for admission.
Fall 2009/Full Year 2009-10 application deadline: noon, Friday, March 6
