Aren`t we talking about Imai Tadashi`s KIKU TO ISAMU (1959) about a pair of mixed^parentage children 
(Afro-American-Japanese) left to fend for themselves in the wake of the Occupation?--It's a somewhat 
sentimentalized first-time stab at a social problem  confronting quite a number of Asian countries.
