Reception of earliest shown Japanese films in U.S.

There is a positive review of a Japanese film entitled "Schoolmaster
Matsumoto" in the New York Times, 9 July 1920, following that film's
release in New York.  I also recall another Japanese film reviewed in
the Times in the previous year or two, though its title escapes me.
