Takeshi Kitano interview

Dear Mark:

I too enjoyed the interview.  Was strange to hear him talking about 'those
kids today.'   I wasn't expecting for him to sound so old fashioned.  The
last few paragraphs were particularly packed, leaving me wonder exactly
what he meant when referring to democracy/law and order/jury/human rights,
etc.  Whether his critique of these institutions wasn't from a somewhat
traditional right wing (American right wing not Japanese) point of view.

Does one have a sense of his view on the above from his films?  I'm
embarassed to say that although I've heard so much about them the last few
years, but have  yet had the chance to see any of them.
