Kore-eda's After Life

David and Todd,

I would assume this similarity to Vincent Ward's new film would be a
coincidence since Mr. Kore-eda had the idea for After Life when we saw him
back in 1996. And I can't imagine them being that similar knowing both of
their work.

I should also mention that Mr. Kore-eda has done more documentaries than just
Without Memory, all of them for TV Man Union who also produced his two
features. Sorry I don't have the titles, the videos are all at home, but
they're all wonderful. He's presenting Without Memory and After Life at the
Flaherty Seminars next week and then we'll finally get to see the new film
when he's in town. The advantage of being a distributor! (One of the only
advantages might I add.)

This sounds incredibly and bizarrely like the soon-to-be-released Robin
Williams-Cuba Gooding, Jr.-Annabella Sciorra film, WHAT DREAMS MAY COME (d.
Vincent Ward) scheduled for released in the US later this year.
