Kazoku Cinema in Korea

Just heard some talk about the release of "Kazoku Cinema" in Seoul last
week--it opened 13 theaters in Seoul! a much too large scale release for
the type of film it is... as far as I've heard from those who've seen
the film. Apparently it drew around 2000 people a day, but divide that
in 13, and you get gara-gara movie houses. Apparently the director Park
Chol-su was so upset he cancelled his opening day appearances at the
major theaters. 

"Hana-bi" will be opening in 20 theaters in Seoul this weekend, and
results remain to be seen.....
