The Yen Family by Takida Yojiro...

I am required to use Takida Yojiro's The Yen family to study the socail
satire and comedy films in Japan in the 80's & 90's .
This film was made in 1988. I am wondering if anyone has watched this film
and would appreciate comments with regards to this film .
Also , I realised that Japanese comics have a great influence on Japanese
films especially contemporary ones , does anyone know about the history of
Japanese Comics ?
