SF Film Question

The film is called, in Japanese: _Sengoku Jieitai_.  It is about a 
Self-Defense Forces (the Jieitai) troop going back in time to the Warring 
States (sengoku) period.  It was directed by Saito Kosei and produced by 
Kadokawa Haruki (who was famous for such big budget spectaculars before 
he got arrested for cocaine possession).  The release date was 1979.
