Thanks for the information. It's a shame that Unagi hasn't been picked up - I
got a chance to see it at the Toronto Film Festival and really enjoyed it -
though it was a bit of a change from other Imamura works I've seen. I'd been
holding out to see Black Rain on the big screen, but I guess I should just go
and rent the video.
How did the screening of "Village of Dreams" go in SF? Besides NYC, are there
any plans to expand it to other parts of the country (e.g. Boston)? You might
be interested to know that Village of Dreams (w/ subs) is available as a HK
VCD import. A friend told me that he saw it available at a VCD store in
Toronto's Chinatown but didn't pick it up.
