Ito Takashi on video

Image Forum recently announced that they will be releasing a 2-casette 
collection of the films of Ito Takashi on video entitled "Illumination 
Ghost" to go on sale on September 25th.

Ito is most known for his 1981 _Spacy_, undeniably one of the most 
important works in Japanese experimental film history (I have seen it 
copied too many times to deny this) and recently selected one of the best 
100 short films of this century by a French film festival.  His use there 
of animation techniques (animating photographs) has not only done much to 
bridge the gap between the animation and experimental film worlds, it has 
posed a redefinition of space that many filmmakers are still dealing with 
today.

The collection includes 11 of his films from 1981 to 1997.
