I forgot to mention in the original post that this book is less a pure 
biography of Misumi than a biographical novel.  (The form seems to be 
quite popular in Japan and there are quite a few about Japanese film 
figures.)  It is apparently all based on fact, and thus can be useful in 
researching Misumi, but it is not your usual scholarly biography.
