Self Introduction

Hajimemashite,

My name is Michael Loebenstein. I have recently subscribed to KineJapan, 
and would like to introduce myself. I live in Vienna, Austria, and I am 
a student of "Theaterwissenschaft" - which in fact is  theater history - 
but I actually focus on film theory and visual culture. My interest in 
japanese culture arose only two years ago, after spending a month in 
Tokyo visiting friends. Since japanese cinema, during the last two years 
seemed to attract the festival circuit I was exposed to a number of 
japanese movies at the Vienna international Film Festival and several 
Viennese arthouse cinemas and video stores. Currently Kitano Takeshi?s 
Hana Bi is showed with overwhelming critical response.
So far for my background; I am enthusiastically looking forward to 
future discussions,
