I don't know about Pink Floyd: the Wall, but for a more blatant homage to
Teshigahara's film see "Suture," an American indie feature from 2 years
back or so.  It's plot is similar, as are its issues of identity, but
unlike "Face of Another" it's really not that great, and a bit obvious and
pretentious (a female doctor is named Renee Descartes).  However, the
hospital scenes are a direct steal.
