Slightly off topic but does anyone know if hiphop is more socially

I don't think that hip-hop has innudated Japan on the same level as other
African American music. This is perhaps because hip-hop is generally
linked with the younger generation, as opposed to jazz and r&b music which
encompass both young and older Japanese people.
Hip-hop still in many ways is a subculture of younger groups. Even in
America, for instance, hip-hop culture is rarely fashioned among the
middle-age to older groups. The young invented it and the young hold on to
it.
