Which database are you talking about? I guess it's the list of
distributors? Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to revise that list
since its creation, even though there are new additions and lots and lots
of mistakes. No time. No time.

The Center for Japanese Studies, however, is putting together a list of
films available for screenings here. Have you seen iton their webpage? I
can pass this info on to them, although it would help is there was a little
bit more. Do you know the departments or whatever where these are held? If
they are rentable or borrowable?

By the way, the University of Washington's library has purchased a
relatively large set of unusual films from Shochiku (centered on the
1930s). These should probably be on their catalog by now, and if so are
easily obtained through interlibrary loan (assuming you're in the US).
