university names

It would be easier if Japanese and English names for universities in Japan w
ere transliterations, wouldn't it.

Tama University of Art and Musashi University of Art are Tama bijutsu daiga
ku and Musashino bijutsu daigaku respectively. Kyoto College of Art is Kyoto
geijutsu tanki daigaku, and I'm afraid I can't remember the other two.

If no one else on the list sends their Japanese names, though, one thing you
could do is to look them up in the big listing of all Japanese universities
(3 thick navy-blue volumes arranged geographically, found in the reference s
ection of the library). Having looked Nagoya University of Art and Design an
d Kyoto University of Art and Design up in these volumes for the same purpos
e myself, I'm fairly sure that there's only one art/design university in Nag
oya, so the Nagoya one should be easy.

Good luck with the screenings, and do keep KineJapan posted on what you show!
