Yes, the article did seem to highlight the sensational. But it wasn't the
newspaper article that alerted me to the trend though, it was the fact
that I keep running into so many of these women. I have also met even
more Korean women doing exactly the same thing. Their experiences have
been a bit more mundane than what was depicted in the Yomiuri article.
It is a fascinating subject, I think, both viewed as individual stories, or
as a collective demographic trend, but I did not want to stray too far
from the purpose of this list and so kept my previous comments brief.
But now I have a good excuse to bring up the topic again, as I have just
discovered that Todd Leong's documentary on the subject, _Office Lady
Dreams_, is available for viewing at the the Sync Festival on-line film
festival at http://www.thesync.com/festival/documentary.html.
