Forthcoming Festivals ... Asano Tadanobu Retrospective

Dear Roger,

I sent last year's brochure and some other material.  I'll mail you 
information on this year's festival as it becomes available.  We'll 
still in the process of raising sponsorship for this year's event - or 
rather waiting for replies from government organisations - so we don't 
exactly know the scale of the August event.  There will be the Asano 
retrospective in June, however, which I'll ensure you're aware of.  But 
unless you're particularly keen on Asano, I suggest you plan you're 
travel for mid-August.  Anyway, let me keep you posted on what's 
happening, but the full programme for August won't be announced until 
early June.  And again, Korean films will figure prominently.

I should stress that last year's festival was thrown together in less 
tha four months after raising the money in January, and although I'm 
happy with the programming, much more effort has been put into this 
year's retrospectives which  I hope will become the strong point of 
LPAFF.
