Nagisa no Shindobaddo

Sinbad is the name of a long-established gay cafe in Shinjuku's 2-chome. 
It used to be one of the few cheap cafes in the district, but with the
recent gentrification, such is no longer the case.  Sinbad of course
suggests fantasy and escape, but I suspect there is an 1970s origin we have
yet to uncover.  I'll put my head to this one.
