Dear colleagues,

We invite you to take advantage of our free online calendar to publicize
your organization's events. If you are not responsible for publicizing
events within your organization, please forward this message to the
appropriate person. This searchable and international calendar will be a
part of AsiaSource (http://www.asiasource.org), an important new online
resource center from the Asia Society that is launching this summer. This is
an unparalleled opportunity to make your events known to the Asia-interested
community. The Asia Society's two existing websites, AsiaSociety.org and
AskAsia, already receive some 60,000 individual visitors each month; we
expect AsiaSource to reach many times that amount.
Simply go to http://www.asiasource.org/events/ae_mp_04.cfm, where you will
find a user-friendly online form for adding your events to the calendar.
This form will allow you to include the event title, a brief description,
dates, times, location, contact information, and even an image graphic and a
link back to your own website. Your submission will be reviewed by Asia
Society staff and a notice will be sent to you via email if your entry is
approved for inclusion in the calendar.
AsiaSource is a new online resource that aims to meet the growing
need for timely, reliable, and unbiased information on the cultural,
economic, social, and political aspects of Asia. In addition to the events
calendar, visitors will find country profiles, a searchable database of
experts, glossaries of terms, a comprehensive links section, special reports
on timely issues, and much more.

We do hope you will take this opportunity to submit the events of your
organization. We have provided a category called "other cities" for those
organizations not located in the 25 major international cities we currently
have listed. If we receive enough entries for a new city, we will create a
separate category for it.

We plan to launch in the early summer so please do not include any events
that are scheduled to finish before June 15.

Again, to submit events go to:
http://www.asiasource.org/events/ae_mp_04.cfm

We hope that you will choose to submit your events. If you have any
questions, you can contact me at jonl at asiasoc.org.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jon Lackman
