I actually offered to translate movie reviews, but haven't heard anything back from the site admin.  I am looking for the same kind of thing too, English or Japanese.

As far as I know, it's still a rumor.  However, Square has been working on a CG movie based on its Final Fantasy series that's due out in a year and a half to two years - in an interview last winter, the producer of the FF series, Sakaguchi, said the movie should be out in a couple of years.  They have an office in Hawaii dedicated to it, with a lot of staff from Hollywood.
