To whom it may concern:
Hello, my name is David Rowe-Caplan. I am at a loss as to how to go
about finding copies (if they exist) of
eight movies, made by the Daiei Film Company, that my mother starred in,
in Japan in the forties -fifties? She was Miss Hokkaido of 194_?.
I'm not sure. Her name then was Abe Terue
The only movie title I have at this time is "Firebird" her stage name
was Hojo Michio.
Thank you in advance for any information or help you can provide.
Sincerely,
David Rowe-Caplan

Dear Sir,
I am sory, as I can only adress you in english,
but maybe you do understand the language...
I am looking of a certain movie, which influenced John Woo's HK movie
THE
KILLER.
All I got is Woo's saying as quoted below:
Woo: "Also I was fascinated by a Japanese movie in the 1960s, I forget
the
name. Takakura Ken was the star; it was shot in Hong Kong and Macau.
Takakura was a killer who had principles, he only killed bad people. But
he
goes to Hong Kong to do a job, and discovers that he has been used by a
gang
to kill a good person. So the killer tries to find out who set him up
and
take revenge on the whole gang. And somehow he met a Japanese woman, a
prostitute, who had TB and wanted to get back to Japan. He promises that
after he takes revenge, he will take her home. So Takakura Ken goes to
fight
with the gang, and he gets killed. And then there was scene in the
morning,
the girl still waiting on the dock, and the hero never comes to take her
home."
Do you have any idea which movie this could be?
I would be very glad, if you could help me..
thanx a lot!
