Last thing I read in the newspaper (about a month ago) is that, whether 
they are actually in a Lebanese jail or not (and I assume they are), the 
big issue in Lebanon is whether to extradite them to Japan once their 
sentences are over (which is, I think, next year).  Adachi, Okamoto and 
the others are feircely protesting the extradition, and the fact that 
Okamoto is still a big hero in Lebanon has meant there are a lot of 
groups pressuring the government and the courts to deny extradition.  The 
Japanese government is using its own tactics to pressure in the opposite 
direction.
