[Junko Tanaka]

I am one, among others, who always appreciate listowners' contribution in 
maintaining this list. And recent discussion on how to archive reviews
on-site is great. I'm just wondering if there's a possibility for us to
apply for a grant to enable us to pay volunteers (listowners included) the
actual cost (Internet connection, telephone, etc.) so they can update and
develop the Kinema Club site without losing not only their time but money?
Especially in Japan, where you need to pay every minute for the phone and
for the Internet connection, it's actually not very practical for "someone
out there" to volunteer even if s/he wants to.

Applying for grants may not be practical either, considering the character
of this list as well as time to prepare application, but after all I believe
we have all been contributing to promotion and understanding of Japanese
film worldwide, and we have a few years of information and ideas that we can
proudly show and share. I'd be interested to hear what listowners as well as
other members think on this.

I've taken a look at these things. It would not be difficult, but it would
take time that I don't have. There's always the possibility that someone out
there might want to take the challenge, though.
