self-introduction

Greetings all.
This is just a short message of self-introduction - I signed up on the
list last week.
My name's Phil Gibbon, I'm from Toronto, Canada (born England), and am
currently living in Kazuno-shi, in the north-east corner of Akita-ken. I
am here as a CIR on the JET Programme. Although I studied a little of
Japanese film as part of my East Asian studies at U of Toronto, I am no
film scholar, and, of course, I'm not involved with Japanese film
professionally. I signed up to the list as a fan.
I like most Japanese film, but I especially enjoy the Tora-san series,
anything by Shohei Imamura and, since seeing After Life at the Toronto
film festival last year, Hirokazu Kore-eda's films.
