Hello All:

As many of you are aware, I am presently writing a biography of Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune, to be published next year by Faber & Faber.

I will be going to Tokyo sometime in the next two months, and I'm looking for someone interested in acting as an interpreter. I anticipate spending several days apiece at Kurosawa Production and Mifune Pro, as well as doing interviews all over Tokyo with 30 or so actors, directors and others who worked with Mifune and/or Kurosawa, as well as members of their families.

Frankly I won't be able to pay very much money, as I am on an extremely tight budget, but for any one interested in their work, the experience may outweigh the small wage I would be able to pay. Also, having someone familiar with their work who also knows Japanese film terminology would be a be plus, too.

If you are interested, please feel free to email me at tothenamerobby at my-deja.com

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Stuart Galbraith IV
