Self Intro

Greetings,

I've been off the list for a while and thought I'd send a brief message
to get reacquainted.  

I'm now teaching in Durango, Colorado, and my interests include all
forms of Japanese popular culture, but particularly screen media, and
most particularly, monster movies, anime, and video games.  This summer
I attended the Otakon convention in Baltimore, and was amazed at how
much larger it had gotten since last year.  The number of attendees 
seemed to have doubled.  Is anyone out there studying anime fan
conventions?
