Hi everyone.

I [thought I] sent a message up about a day and a half ago, but nothing's 
come back to me yet so I guess it didn't get delivered... ?

I wanted to ask if KineJapan members in the Tokyo area ever gather 
informally to go out for coffee and chat, see a movie or anything of that 
sort.  I go up to Tokyo two or three weekends a month and would love to meet 
some other folks from this list face-to-face.  Any ideas?

Also, last night I discovered a nice new spot near my home here in southern 
Chiba Prefecture.  It's a wine and cheese bar called Liblos, located in 
Chikura near the southern tip of the peninsula.  The wine was great, the 
cheese was delicious (I haven't have much luck finding good cheese in 
Japan...) and the atmosphere was much more comfortable than the other bars 
and izakayas I've been to in the area.  Very inexpensive, too.

The reason I'm mentioning it here is that the owner used to be a librarian 
up in the Tokyo area and he is a huge movie fan.  Most of one wall of the 
bar is a big bookcase, and there are scores of books on Japanese film out 
for customers to read.  I chatted with him for a while and he seemed very 
knowledgeable.  He even offered to help me get copies of some old films I 
was looking for.
