In Russian it is "Mosfilmofond", and yes, it is a National
repository of films. I used to go to their cinema in the 60s and 70s,
called "Illuzion", where they showed series of films by Kurosawa,
Fellini, and others. Film rights were not purchased, and so they
were shown only there, as educational screening.
