Tech.Pop.Japan/NoCherry Blossoms in Rotterdam

Hajimemashite and hello again.

I have recently left my fulltime job in a Broadcast company to go fully 
independent and thus haven't had access to my previous e-mail account. Still 
waiting to get the new server up and my non-web e-mail setup, but this will 
have to do for now before I go away next week.

I'd like to know if anyone from this list will be attending the 
International Film Festival Rotterdam, what with its extensive focus on 
Japan ... it looks like i might just be able to squeeze in a visit, from 
31st Jan till 6th Feb i believe. Perhaps some of us could meet up.

As some of you may remember, I have had a long fascination with Kawashima 
Yuzo's work ... but I am also fascinated by some of developments in Anime, 
particularly that of Serial Experiments Lain, a rather dark, experimental & 
philosophical (whilst remaining adoringly cute in that unique inimitable 
japanime way) animated tv series being shown in Rotterdam it its 13-episode 
entirety! (not to be missed!) ...

strange as it may sound, i will be gearing myself up for projects on both 
animation and documentary in this year or so ... i think it will bring a 
fascinating bi-polarity to the films i hope to make way down the line ...
