Never saw it myself, but its one of those films that I've been promising
myself to check out for a long time, and I know its sitting there in my
local video shop as I speak. I did see the follow up film from the same
director, Fridrik Thor Fridrikson, 'Devils Island' , a quirky look at life
in a US Army Base in Camp Thule in Iceland in the 50's. It's quite an
amusing film, but I was told that Cold Fever was better

Decided that the Icelandic film COLD FEVER would be
compilmentary viewing
to the frigid winter weather here in Toronto and was
surprised to see
Seijun Suzuki (Gates of Flesh, Tokyo Drifter) in a small
cameo! Quite
pleased that I recognized him although my girlfriend
couldn't understand
why I cheered triumphantly when the credits rolled! It's an
off kilter
comedy in the spirit of Aki Kaurismaki's films like
Leningrad Cowboys.
Anyone else see the film and have thoughts on it?

		Chilly regards,
