Realm returns?

With the success of _Gohatto_, Gaga Communications has apparently decided 
to rerelease Oshima's _In the Realm of the Senses_ in Japan in October, 
hoping to present a "no-cut" version for the first time.  This follows 
the rerelease of the "uncut" version of Bertolucci's _Last Tango in 
Paris_ at the beginning of this year.

Judging from newspaper reports, it does not seem the film will go 
"uncensored."  Customs has passed the print imported from France without 
demanding cuts (unlike the first time it was shown over twenty years 
ago), but did force "bokashi" for all shots where genitals were visible.  
Eirin is now reviewing the film, so attention is now being drawn towards 
their decision.
