JAPANESE FILMS ON U.S. VIDEO

Now that I have posted a private message to the list, I must apologize and,
while I'm at it, issue a last cry for help. In his new book on Japanese
cinema Donald Richie plans to include what he describes as "a selective
guide" to videos and DVDs of English-subtitled Japanese films. He would
like to make this guide as up-to-date, accurate and complete as possible.
He does not need new info on cult animation titles and hardcore SM pics --
it's not that kind of book. If you have the necessary interest, expertise
and time to proof his list and offer suggestions, please contact me at
