ozu on dvd!

In case you Ozu fans are unaware of it, New Yorker finally released I WAS
BORN BUT on VHS tape (They seem not to have heard of DVDs, but then they
never heard of laserdiscs either!). True to form they're asking $89.95 (and
Amazon offers no discount at all) and, get this, no music score. That'll
give all you wannabe music arrangers a project! I haven't seen it though
I'll be ordering it just the same. Their 35mm print is very nice even if not
a restoration, unlike the badly worn 16mm ones. It would be nice if Home
Vision would pick up some other 1930s Ozu comedies.
