It's midnight here in Tokyo, so I'm off to sleep, but before I doze off, I
wanted to at least mention that I gave a paper for the Humanities Study
Group at the German Institute of Japanese Studies in Tokyo this past March.
I dealt less with how the film looked and more with its
adaptation/deviation from the Edogawa Rampo novel. (BTW, I'm actually
giving a paper on the Rampo novel next weekend at the Asian Studies
Conference Japan at Sophia.)
