Dear KineJapan list members,
I am a film maker from New York on the desperate search of a French
video release in Japan.
And was pointed to this KineJapan list.
Although I understand this is a forum to discuss Japanese Cinema I do
hope to find somebody on this list who could help me.
If not you as film professionals would know, I would not know anybody
else to ask.
Its been 5 years ago that I was in Japan and heared about the release
of a
French Cinema rarity that I cannot even find in France (!!) It is
called:
"?ume des Jours / Spray of Days" , - 110 min. - Feature, Color
Director: Charles Belmont. Produced by Chaumiane-SEPIC / Rank
re-released on VHS in Japan probably somewhere first half of the 90ies.
It is a bizarre surrealisic story about a woman having a lotus flower
growing in her lung , her partner who manages to pay the medical bills
by working in a gun factory where guns are "breeded" like plants with
human warmth. The parallel story is about the friend of the Protagonist
who is obsessed with the works by a philospher named Jean-Sol Patre
(anagarm of Satre).
If there is anybody who could help me with that - either has seen it in
a video rental store, or even knows the Japanese video distribution -
I would greatlly appreciate. Please peply off-list to: kasbah at thing.net
Thank you very much in advance,
Caspar Stracke
New York
