Hello all,
For a course on Japanese Cinema, pre-WWII, I am searching for films
available in any format. I have the DVD-ROM, Masterpieces of Silent Japanese
Cinema, and I have on video or have located film rental sources for the
following films: I Was Born, But.. (Ozu, 1932) , Page of Madness (Kinugasa,
1926), Osaka Elegy (Mizoguchi, 1936), Sanshiro Sugata [Judo Saga]
(Kurosawa, 1943), Sisters of the Gion (Mizoguchi, 1936), Story of the Last
Chrysanthemum (Mizoguchi, 1939), 47 Ronin (Mizoguchi, 1941) (2 pts) and
Inn in Tokyo (Ozu, 1935). Are any of you aware of other films from that
period that may be available?
Thank you for your help.
