Japanese pop band movies

"Batoru Hiitaa" is the title of the Bafuku Slump movie. I saw it a few
months ago, it's really definitely not something that you should go out of
your way to find.

There is Sogo Ishii's Burst City, not a "band movie" but stars some rock
people, like the singer from the Stalin. Ishii had strong connections to the
music scene and borrowed help from his circle of friends at the time.

Dear Tom,
There is a pseudo-haunted house film featuring Bakufu Slump. I
believe that would have come out in the late 80s or early 90s. If you're
not familiar with Bakufu Slump, you will probably recall Sunplaza Nakano
from his extensive TV appearances.
Hayakawa Yoshio of the Jacks made an experimental black and white
film in the late 60s which has clips of the band in performance. Also The
Folk Crusaders of course star in a late 60s Oshima film, Kaettekita
Yopparai which takes its title from one of their songs. I believe a number
of the GS bands had cameo film appearances, but I don't have any
particulars on that.
       Yours,
       Mark Anderson
