I saw the movie yesterday evening and obviously this movie is ,not to be 
taken seriously... Having read Tom's review on "midnight eyes", i still 
don't get it.

The opening sequence sets the tone : BR will be an acid piece of work, with 
a serious political content, but for laughs. The young audience will be able 
to see it simply as a video game or a manga, or the adult one as a metaphor 
for the japanese educational system.

The problem is the first 30 minutes are quite promising, but after it's all 
downhill : a boring bodycount directed with absolutely no talent (the abuse 
of zoom recalls the worst of the 70's : italians B series, or the notorious 
Trauma productions; and the dialog are not even funny; the young cast with 
no charisma; awful cinematography...).

In the end, I felt fustrated by so much waste (the island could have been 
such a great part) and what could have been the equivalent of "heather" is a 
disposable version of "i know what you did last summer" with a political 
twist.


....Or maybe is it because i am not japanese and missed something?
