Japanese Films in HK

"City of Lost Souls" just finished its one week run in Hong Kong. 7 days
might be considered fair play, except it was playing at only one
centrally located cinema, where it was given once screening per day...at
4:10 in the afternoon! I checked the censorship certificate which stated
it was in Cantonese with some Chinese subtitles. Considering the
presence of local actors in the cast this doesn't seem too strange, but
was this the film's original language or should it be in Japanese?

The same theatre had a display up for "Juvenile" - Aaron Gerow's review
intrigued me enough to pick up the DVD of this, and while it's faults
are obvious I found it enjoyable - which considering it's target
audience will likely be dubbed in Cantonese - like SAKUYA, JIN-ROH and
GODZILLA 2000 MILLENNIUM before it - and find few sympathetic viewers.
