Prof. Gerow,
I have an application form for JASIAS membership at hand. I'd be very happy
if you could please let me fill in your name as one of the two recommenders
for my membership. I would try getting in touch with Prof. Kato of Kyoto
Univ. who was once one of my colleagues here at Teikyo Univ. as the other
recommender. In case I can't make it, who else would you kindly suggest?
The below is my brief academic interests and accomplishments.
My area of research so far has been focused on the comparative study of
women's films, feminism and psychoanalysis and films on minority groups. I
belong to SCS and UFVA. My MA comes from New York State Univ. and BA from
Tsuda College. My most recent publications are the translation of
E.A.Kaplan's -Motherhood and Representation-and "A Study of Maternal
Melodrama III" on Teikyo's bulletin 2001.
I'm attending  the meeting on July 7. I'm looking forward to seeing you in
the near future at JASIAS meeting. I appreciate your tremendous help with
putting our communication flow smoothly as well as constructively.
